There are more vacant employment positions than ever before!

For the first time in decades, there are more employers seeking to fill vacant positions within their companies than there are people seeking employment in the United States.  With this boom in the economy, now could be a perfect time for home-based business owners who still work “regular” jobs to seek employment that better suits their income goals and scheduling needs.

Because so many companies and corporations are hiring, those who are currently employed are in a perfect position to approach their superiors with requests that would have otherwise sounded outlandish.  If you desire a raise or a schedule change now could be the perfect time to make your wish come true, but it’s important to approach the situation with cunning and tact instead of arrogance and brute force.  If you notice your job is in dire need of skilled employees, then you are in a position to assess your value to the company and apply for any promotions for which you feel you’re qualified.

Spruce up your resume and apply for positions that interest you with confidence.  If you haven’t already, create an account LinkedIn so you can connect with other professionals who will help you find other opportunities you may not have been aware of.  Should you secure an interview, be sure to show up prepared with questions of your own, as you’re in a position of power and should assess this job’s worthiness of you with the utmost regard.  Be firm about your requirements, especially those regarding pay, time off, and benefits. Keep in mind that your job is a tool in building your own personal success and choose wisely to avoid anything that could hinder you from achieving your goals in the future due to strict demands on your time or hard-to-meet quotas.

Whether you stay with the company you’re currently employed or secure a career with a new employer, it’s of the utmost importance that you remain your main focus.  You were born to do so much more than work and pay bills and now that you’ve found a job that makes building a better lifestyle easier, it’s important to build and maintain momentum in both areas just as you did before.  Delegate tasks when needed at home, at work, and within your business to make sure that you’re getting the best use of your time. Make space in your schedule for self-care so that you remain refreshed and your creativity will flow freely.

Forge beneficial relationships at work and with your superiors, as your network will always have a direct effect on your net worth.  These are the people who are going to make it easy for you to continue growing your reach as a professional and as a business owner, so don’t be afraid to reach out to them when you’re having live events or collaborating with someone who could prove to be a benefit to their own success.  Above all let your amazing personality shine brightly in all settings, and always remember to maximize and monetize the opportunities that are presented to you. You’re going places, and the only thing that can hold you back is you! And as always #ImHereToHelp
